This refers to trips I made from Bangalore to Trivandrum and back on 21-Feb-07 and 24-Feb-07 respectively. I had been reading a lot of negative reviews before my forward trip so I was very anxious what I would experience. But everything changed once the process started at Bangalore airport.
Right from the entrance where the CISF security were, I found all the Air Deccan staff very polite and helpful. I had got my boarding pass in just about 5 to 6 min after walking in!
The flight was delayed by about 30 min however, and maybe the airline needs to find someway to take care of this aspect alone. After I boarded the flight, I saw many seats empty, possibly a fallout of the many negative reviews in the past, and I felt sorry for such losses the airline must be living with. The stewardesses were polite, and went about their job like in most other airlnes I have travelled earlier. The in- flight snacks were also sufficing for their price.
The return trip was also no different in regard to courtesies, but the schedule was somewhat more upset, by almost 2 hrs. I feel Air Deccan would be rated far more if they could only manage this sole achilles heel of punctuality. For those who havent travelled by them yet, just note Air Deccans fares can put our railways to shame! Come on, Air Deccan- u can do it.
