I had booked a Xylo as soon as it was launched earlier this year at Sireesh Auto. Finally in april I got a call from Sireesh for delivery. I had asked for a Silver, E4, 7 seater. I was brainwashed to pick up a Gold shimmer, E4, 7 seater. I was fine. finally when I wa about to make the payment, I was given a surprise that they will register a 8 seater and then later change the seats to 7 within a few weeks. I was a bit suspecious.
I refused to take delivery of an 8 seater and told them taht id wait for a 7 seater. the dealership later called me some time in June (day before beginning of ashada maasa) asking me to make a payment and once again insisted on delivering an 8 seater and changing it to a 7 seater later on. I was pretty adament and refused to budge.
finally after ashada in July, I was told that they ahve a vehicle available. I made the full payment only to find out 2 days later that they will once again register a 8 seater and then change it to a 7 seater as they do not have a 7 seater in stock. earlier today, I spoke to their VP and he insists that it is a a practice they need to do to satisfy the demand. when I questioned him if this was ethical, his response was they will do whatever it takes to sell vehicles.
I was shocked. I finally decided to ask for a ful refund as I did not want to deal with an unethical dealer. id rather take my business elsewhere. I did tell him that I will discourage folks from buying from Sireesh.
