Maa tujhe salaam!!!

When I see a picture of the Statue of Liberty, I’m reminded of its creator, Brother Batholdi, of such a magnanimous structure that delivers a warm feeling of peace and brotherhood(serves exactly the purpose of its being built).

What crosses my mind when I see a picture of the Twin Towers collapsing in the background and a heavenly smile of satisfaction on Osama’s face, I cannot frame into a proper sentence but the words that pile up are probably, devilish.evil.sinister.!must stop right away.

What is the basic difference between the ideologies of the’honest and the dead Manjunath’ and the’corrupt and the living Laloo Prasad’?

I  have some doubts regarding this.

Trying to come out of the shadows of doubts, I discovered that the thinline between the words mother and mom might have made the huge difference somewhere.

Going by the meaning of mother, she is a woman who has begotten or has given birth to a child, and mom is a relative term meaning a lady whom a child relates to all its thoughts, emotions, illusions, dreams.

Somebody said it rightly, give me good mothers and I shall give you a good nation, but what matters most is how many of the mothers accept this fact and breed the notion into the minds of their sons and daughters that:

*A human

first belongs to humankind.nation.committee.family.and lastly to himself**.

I hope somebody pays heed to whats written above, cuz if one analyses practically[though it’ll take some time], the world will become a much better place to live in without any differences, complexities, racism, etc etc after all today’s children are the citizens of tomorrow, they will either make or break the nation.the future lies in the hands of the mothers of the present because charity begins at home.

Maa tujhe salaam-A.R.Rehman

The first word that a child says when it learns to speak isMAA.Thats because of the sense of security assured someone will always be there to hold when we fall. Why do you think our nation is called Motherland? The first and the foremost duty that all must perform is towards one’s nation and mom. This song sung by A.R.Rehman serves the best in its lyrics, music and the singing as well, to be in its place here.

’yahan wahan sara jahan dekh liya

kahi bhi tere jaisa koi nahin hai

assi nahi sou din ghuma hai

nahi kahin tere jaisa koi nahi kahi bhi

main gaya jahan bhi

bas teri yaad thi

jo mere saath thi

mujhko tadpati rulati

sabse pyari teri surat

pyaar hai bas tera pyar hi

maa tujhe salaam

o maa tujhe salaam.*’

Yashoda ka nandlala [Sanjog]-Lata Mangeshkar

To wake with the essence of mother’s love,

To be held by the tender hands when toppled down while learning to walk,

To be fed with stories in the background and mom running around,

To be put to sleep with lorries.zuzuzuuuu.

’Yashoda ka nandlala

brij ka ujala hai

mere laal se to sara jag jhilmilaye

raat thandi thandi hawa

gake sulaye

bhor gulabi palke

choomke jagaye.’

Aww.I wish I had never grown up!

Chanda hai tu [Aradhana]-Lata Mangeshkar

This song is specially for the naughty chimps who have gone astray. Its hightime that we wake up and substitute the tears in her eyes with a life-long smile across her face.Don’t forget that moms are the most caring and loving acquaintance that our life may ever have.Don’t let the hopes and dreams that she has of us, be shattered for the sake of the temporary pleasures that may turn out to be addictions later on and ruin our lives.hhmm.what I mean to say is DON’T  DO  NARCOTICS.The lyrics will speak the rest of it.

’chanda hai tu

mera suraj hia tu

o mere ankhon ka tara hai tu

jeeti hun main bas tujhe dekheke

is toote dil ka sahara hai tu

.tu khele khel kai

mera khilona hai tu

jisse banti har asha meri

.yuhi kabhi hogi shaadi teri

dulha banega

kunwara hai tu

.purwayi ban mein ude

panchhi chaman mein ude

ram kare kabhi hoke bada

tum banke badal gagan mein ude

jo bhi tujhe dekhe wo ye kahe

kis maa ka aisa dulara hai tu.’

Mama I love you-Spice Girls

Sometimes through the course of life, we may face various manifestations of confusion, dilemma, perplexity etc that may lead us to the path of destruction in the form of depression and annoyance. Its in this phase of life we need a friend who would hear all our doubts, be patient till we find answers to the doubts, encourage us when we are feeling low and bring us out of the blues. In the present stage of the world, it so happens that we tend to forget to let our parents know how much we love them and that is where the gap crops up.what we call generation gap.Well, views and ideas might change with time but not the emotions. If ego is the barrier, then what I feel is, it must be shattered right away.

’She used to be my only enemy and never let me be free

Catching me in places that I knew I should’nt be

Every other day I crossed the line I didn’t mean to be so bad

I never thought you would become the friend I never had

Back then I didn’t know why

Why you were misunderstood

So now I see through your eyes

All that you did was love

Mama I love you.Mama I care

Mama I love you . Mama my friend. You’re my friend

I didn’t want to hear it then but I’m not ashamed to say it now

Every little thing you said and did was right for me

I had a lot of to think about, about the way I used to be

Never had a sense of my responsibility.’

Luka Chhuppi [Rang de basanti]-Lata Mangeshkar & A.R.Rehman

This is a song that gets me nostalgic each time I listen to specially the last but few lines sung by Rehman and not to forget the beginning as well. The song reveals the fact that how worried moms get when we are out of their sight, on our mischievous expeditons, with their eyes fixed at the doorsteps waiting for our return.

’lukka chhupi bahot hui

samne aajana

kahan kahan dhoonda tujhe

thak gayi hai ab teri maa

aja sanjh hui mujhe teri fikar

dhundla gayi dekh meri nazar

aajana.

kya bataun maa kahan hun main

yahan udne ko mere khula aasman hai

tere  kisson jaisa bhola salona jahan hai yahan sapnon wala

meri patang ho befikar ud rahi hai maa

dor koi loote nahi beech se kaate na

teri raha take akhiyan

jane kaisa kaisa hoe jiya

dheere dheere angan utre andhera

tera deep kahan

dhalke suraj kare ishara chanda tu hai kahan

mere chanda tu hai kahan

kaise tujhko dikhaun yahan hai kya

mere jharne se paani maa todke piya hai

.

chhyaya liye bhali dhoop yahan hai

naya naya sa hai roop yahan

yahan sab kuch hai maa fir bhi lage bin tere mujhko akela.*’

Mai ni mai [HAHK]-Lata Mangeshkar

Haha.don’t take me otherwise.I had to include this song in the list cuz of one of my friend’s (acoustic)sincere request and the reason behind this is probably that he is too desperate to tie the knot and since the gender discrimination comes in the song, so he suggested me to let the world know that he has become jogan and dulara. If I show the slightest of inclinations towards marriage and stuff, the very next moment I’ll find my mom singing’babul ki duayen leti jaa.

’mai ni mai

munder pe teri

bol raha hai kaga

jogan ho gayi

teri dulari

man jogi sang laga

chal mahiya.’

GOSH! I had to listen to ’I’m a rebel.apni to pathshaala’ around 5 times after listening to this song, just to maintain the balance in my life.

Take Care.
