We have purchased the Sony TV 43 inch, serial no. 8550014 Model No 43W800D at Hosahiarpur(Punjab) on 13 Oct 2016 for Rs. 57, 500/- and after 32 Months the TV screen has become faulty with the multi coloured vertically and then 5 times blinking. When registered complaint Enginener visited our residence to check the unit and then said us to bring the unit to service center as he is not able to find exact fault and has charged us for his visit that is OK.
When visited Authorized Service Center at Hoshiarpur they informed that they will check if it can be fixed by installing new software will be charged RS 1100, if there is an issue on board then it will be charged RS 7500 to replace the board and if there is issue in panel then Rs. 23000 will be the cost for new panel. It is pathetic that brand like Sony has come with these kind of defective product sales. we have purchased this product for the brand name SONY & it got faulty within 3 years considering the equipment’s used in the unit are having very less life span as it comes with warranty of 2 years and once warranty has been expired it got faulty.
I request you to look into the matter and replace the same with discount on the Panel, as it has been faulty within 3 years which is not expected from a brand like SONY.
