I recently purchased Sony Bravia 40" LCD S series TV, after researching all possible brands. None of the TVs, except the Samsung LED will be able to match the picture quality of Sony Bravia. Samsung LED is at least 30% more expensive and the price differential doesn’t merit that value.
Compare the 40" LCD with all available brands, and you’ll be surprised that LG, Samsung, Panasonic give a lot more at the same price, but they cannot yet even come closer to the quality of sony. First and foremost, let’s also agree that most of us look at the picture and not the sound. Sound quality of Sony is although good, the output is lower than LG models. Full HD is something that we’re anyway not utilizing since blue-ray disc and HD broadcasting is still nascent in India.
Those who are looking for an LCD TV for a five year span may buy a 42" plasma from Panasonic, since its price quality equation justifies better than Sony, but those who’re looking for a TV for 10 year span should buy Sony LCD
