This camera has been one fantastic buy - actually all my Sony products have been coming to think of it!
Yes, its a step ahead of the H7 but differences are beyond the tilt screen.its has a higher image resolution and pixels, has fantastic nightshot.(you can literally take a clear picture in the dark) and incredible zoom. Yes, the flash may "appear" insufficient.its not easy to get used to the extreme zoom capabilities which will render any flash useless! Metering switches and continuous shooting buttons are available externaly in the H9.all of this is missing in H7.
It also has a very quick shutter speed of 0.04 of a second, a shot-to-shot time of 1.3 seconds and takes just two seconds from power up to first picture.
And voila! it has face detection(nice frill) plus optical image stabilization.very essential for long zooms that kinda get shaky.
Navigation can take a bit getting used to.but only to existing Sony users who are used to the earlier models’ simplistic format.
