I have been a SE fan not only for the name but for the features too. SE is known for its revolutionary phones from the lightest to the tech loaded. The K750i is a combo.
To start with, the design:
Compact, smooth, looks pretty sophisticated. Easy access to the keypad, music button and cam.
Display: Has a 262k colors TFT. Good clarity even on a bright day.
The Joystick: A Sony proprietary. Works really well. But the only hitch with all the joysticks on the SE is the need to be maintained, as in cleaned once a while to avoid mal function due to excessive usage.
The software and firmware: standard features. User friendly (always check for the latest version). Would be great if SE came out with more Symbian based phones apart from P-series. One can swap software between k750i and W800i, but that would result in a void warranty though they will work well.
Cam: 2 mpix. Works really well and has an amazing resolution unlike any other cam phone. Have pretty good features that we normally find on a Digi cam and the video function is good too. Has a flash which can be used as a torch light.
Memory:
Comes with Inbuilt 32mb, external 64mb. We can memory and can be expandable to 2gb. Pretty neat for a phone. Can store almost anything. Sms, ring tones, text files, fully compressed .3Gpp movies … Can be used as an external storage device also.
Speaker:
Has stereo output and is pretty good. The speaker functionality really serves the purpose and Mp3 is a real music to ears. I mean comparing an output with other phones that has mp3 play back.
Connectivity:
USB, Bluetooth, Infra-red, GPRS (these are sources we normally use in India) though other networking features are available (not wi-fi or Wlan).
Hands free:
Are NR stereo plugs. More than just impressive, feeling music is what I am talking about now. Good that the w800i and K750i are on the same platform. Interchangeable plugs or even W800i’s revolutionary Stereo output cables that can be connected to a standard amplifier and can use the phone as a MP3 player.
To make it short. The phone is a good investment for the time until SE brings another state of the art phone from its Jukebox.
