I am joel. I am doing my B.E comp engg. Well I bought this lap on last sep 2008. I was in a hurry to do my project in linux. So I need a system that was simple, light weight, and branded. I went for vaio. I got it...fully pre loaded. I made back up, and I had to install linux. When I installed linux, all file system got interupted and I was really put in trouble. For a practical guy who want to learn something ..really sony vaio is a waste."it can be used for watching movies (with fine DVD)...this uncles could use ...those who uses it for MS 2007, and small small can use.
All this problems is due to g VISTA..non compactability of vista makes us to use linux. Or old xp’s.
Really sony vaio never supports your wishes...think before you buy it
