The last choice among good places

Hi Buddies, Finally we made some time to visit a disco. Last time we hit a pub (Escape) and decided we needed to visit a disco. On Saturday, we were all set to visit TDS. Based on the review by Chimera, all of us (7 in no. 3 coups + another friend) headed off to TDS and OOPS... we were in for a surprise.... Singles allowed only before 8 pm?????????????? We were there by around 9pm. Our repeated request to the manager didnt bother him at all and we were left with no choice but to look elsewhere. Finally, on another friends recommendation, we headed to SPARKS, just above TDS in the same building. Entry: All 7 of us together were charged Rs.1500 (probably Rs.200 per person + Rs.100 extra for the single). We were given redeemable coupons for the price, so no probs... Once inside, we were guided to a nice comfortable sofa in the couple section. The Menu: The drinks choice was limited (or so I thought), ofcourse there are many cock/mock-tails available though. They had all the right things for starters and a few more goodies. Music and Dance: Coming to my favourite part.... Its mostly (probably only) rock... That day they had some DJ from Mumbai, who had nothing more to present than the resident DJ. Initially, everyone (scarcely populated) were busy in their own cozy spaces and we were scared to think there would be no disco as the dance floor was empty with a few balloons lying down.... But slowly, the crowd picked up and the lights started flashing.. Though it was the same beat all-through the night, the crowd was swinging and shaking which was magnetic for everyone. The singles who were not allowed into the dance floor were rocking in their own space around their tables, , , Hard part: The most difficult part for most of our ppl (esp. the ladies) was the smoke. It felt you were almost head-locked in a cigar-engine. I am not sure if they have enough exhaust. Also, no A/C (or maybe the cigerette smoke overcame the ACs...) caused a lot of sweating esp. for dancers. Either you be accustomed to heavy smokey areas (suffocation and eye-burns) or think twice before visiting. ALL in ALL: If you really want to swing and rock but couldnt enter a better disco, then you can drop in and have a good time. Music buffs, dont visit this place or else you’ll end up wondering what music is all about !!!!
