Online Booking

I made an online booking with spicejet about an year back, but unfortunately I had to cancel my plan. When I asked for cancellation, spicejet said that they can only issue credit note and cannot refund the money. Hmm, may be its written somewhere in their terms and conditions, but again, something which should have been highlighted somewhere.

Anyways, for next 8-9 months I did travel a lot but couldnt make any travel plans with spicejet because of their odd timings plus I also heard their inflight service is poor and the fact that many of its flight are VIA some other destination. Anyways, then came the Monsoon Humgama for Rs. 99, I thought lets give a try. Again, I didnt find a single ticket for Rs.99, but yes I found one for Rs.499. But that also had a trick. U can only get 499 ticket if u buy a heavy priced one way ticket, meaning delhi goa, one way u have to pay around 3399 and other way was 499, again a JOKE in itself. But bigger one coming now. I said ok, I have to get this note utilized so ordered those tickets online. To my surpise, there was no option for adjusting credit note. I called their customer support number and she said no we do not have that option yet. I said, then why did u issue one from web. Anyways, she said I can book on phone, so was kinda relieved. But again a bouncer, the total cost now stands at 3099X2 plus taxes. I said WHY so, she said that offer for 499 is only online. I SAID ENUFF NOW. I wrote a strong letter to their technical head who finally agreed to book on phone at the same price as that of web, but again after 2 reminders.

Do you think with this kind of attitude and customer harassment these airlines can survive long?

Cheers
