It's just okay. Nothing special.

Pavan Kaul’s Sssshhh is largely inspired by Hollywood films like Wes Craven’s Scream (1996) with a little bit of I know what you did Last Summer (1997). A largely young star cast including Tanuja’s daughter and kajol’s younger sibling, Tanisha making her debute.

Mehak (Tanisha) is going through a tough time because her father has just committed suicide and her sister stabbed to death by a killer in a black cloak with a joker’s mask. Mr black cloak then makes threatening calls to Mahek. Her friends in college are Suraj(Karan Naath)who has just joined, old time buddy Rocky (Dino Morea), VJ gaurav and a couple of girlfriends. One of them could also be the killer.

The next victim is a college teacher and there are a few attempts to eliminate the young girl as well. This side, suraj gets pally her, their feelings are reciprocal but a triangle is formed when Rocky is also in love with her but can’t quite spell it out.

Meanwhile the group of college friends decide to go on a holiday to Thailand. More ketchup is spilled when Mehak’s mom is slashed to death by Mr Black cloak.

When in Thailand the friends decide to go to some godforsaken island where there is not a soul in sight. One by one they start getting killed just like they did in that old hindi movie of yore, Gumnaam. The film tends to drag on particularly towards the end. Mr Black cloaks identity also doesn’t induce much surprise.

Anu malik’s music and Salim Suleiman’s background score is ordinary. The cast is pretty much run of the mill. Tanishaa has a long way to go before she can be compared with kajol .Dino Morea and Karan Nath are passable.

In an all a Time pass movie.
