I hold Stand Chart Classic Credit Card for around 2.5 yrs now.
most of you must be aware that from where does these credit card bankers get their profit. yes they profit from late payment fees, interest charges and all.
and for that sake stan chart dont send the statements and put a late payment fee and other charges. I am the victim of the same story.
well now the problem which I am facing currently with SCB is somewhat which I could not find on MouthShut from any member.
I wanted to settle my account in Sep 06 and In the month of Oct 06 I got a call for settlement and the guy told me to pay 6400 to the executive and said after you pay this amount your card will be settled and close forever.
i made the payment very next day and then after 2-3 months I started getting call from the SCB that I have thousands of rupees overdue and I must pay that immediately.
i told them that I have settled it but they ask for the settlement lettter which they did not issue to me.
now they have started to harass me by giving threating calls and telling me that they will send few guys at my home and they will started staying at home until I pay them the money.
i m getting threating calls from them every now and then from different people from SCB.
if anyone had such kind of experience with SCB or any other bank, then please let me know what shall I do now... shall I contact Consumer Court to file a case against SCB for the mental harassment ?
please help guys...
