I have a savings account with standard chartered bank since more than 5 years now. I was satisfied with the services as I was banking primarily through net banking which works fine. The real shock came when I was compelled to visit the B-1, Janak Puri branch due to demonetization. Had to deposit some denotified notes and also withdraw cash. When I reached the branch on 14th December 2016 it was a total chaos. There was a long Que which was expected but something which was not expected was the behavior of staff with account holders and general public. They were rude and non cooperative. I was able to enter the branch after waiting in the line for 2 hours and went to the teller for depositing the cash and withdrawal. Suddenly the guard and some staff came and said that the services will not be provided as I have jumped the line and asked rudely to leave. I tried to explain but they were adamant and behaved like they own the bank. I left as I felt very humiliated and have decided to close my account. I have accounts with YES bank and Indusind bank also and the experience there has been good.
