I had my first Third class experience with SC 6 years ago. Then they asked me to pay for a card which they forced me and I had not used even once.
And now here in 2012 again , SC has maintained its class. THIRD CLASS.
I happen to be a Barclay gold credit card member migrated to SC card since Barclays decided to shut down and go back. The opening was good as I received a prompt post enclosing card from SC stating that on 17th my old Barclay card will be closed. On 18th my new attached card will be made active.
Upon activation, I was supposed to follow online instruction to INSTA Register myself for the online services at SC.com .
That could never happen.
I called up call center, sent emails, screenshots . All waste. No one will actually read or listen to you. They either send you scripted email back or say they are still working. Just as suitable for a cheap service bank false call back promises one after another.
To add to the pain. I unfortunately had to use the card once to fuel my vehicle. And after having the card for over 30 days I did not have online access. I had a last call to cancel my card. They said I will have to pay my outstanding. I asked them if they could waive off in return to the inconvenience thy have caused all through this time, which I think was not unreasonable for me to ask for. They say I should pay it but not the online way.
So I paid it off and gave orders to cancel my card WHICH will happen in another 14 working days.
Total shameless service, lousiest services wast
