STAR Health Insurance

I had taken STAR HEALTH insurance based on call coming from their customer support who kept calling time and again. But the call centre chap did not explain in detail about the insurance except saying that everything is covered for aged people nothing to worry about. Even the consultation charge whenever visiting the doctor would be reimbursed. Based on the chaps constant assurance saying under Senior Citizens Red Carpet Insurance everything is covered I just went by his worlds and purchased the insurance for my father. He was hospitalised after 8 month of purchasing the insurance. These guys again got another stupid call centre guy to attend the query who did not know anything about the policy except what came on his computer screen he just kept saying the consultation fee cannot be reimbursed. Now that my dad has to undergo a spine surgery they say that the policy should be active for about 2years and not even a penny can be given as cashless or settling against the bills. This came as shocking as even after time and again repeated request to the call centre chap asking him to give me details about the policy he did not share any details but just kept saying everything is covered nothing to worry. Obviously he did that as he had to do his sale and make up for his target. My friends please check in detail about the policy of any insurance before purchasing as most of the time they try to finish everything over the phone call and mail links to get the payment done. Please do not do that as our hard earned money is stolen by such STAR Health insurnace and their balance sheets looks good. It’s like a day light robbery done in the name of the brand and having a corporate entity. All such policies are done by qualified people who know what is happening but they are making a living by stealing others money. Now I need to get my FD broken to take care of my Dad which I will do. But these guy think they can keep cheating people and make a living and always there are people who can be fooled out of the 137 crore population we have. My friends it’s a humble request take time and research about the insurance well before procuring one. Beware of companies like STAR HEALTH insurance. I know they have cheated even the agents who were hospitalised and their stories are more horrifying. Need to take care of my Dad, hope my story helps for the rest who are going to be cheated.
