Never ever take health insurance from Star Health if you don’t want denied claims without reasons.
My father-in-law met with a heart attack last week and was treated and recovered in a nearby hospital.
He had taken health insurance from this company 2 years back as a family plan and hadn’t raised any claims until this incident.
The hospital tried to send claims multiple times but each time, Star Health denied it by saying vague reasons. Initially, they said they wanted to see the previous history of the patient. When shown that there is no previous history, they deny it and again say they can’t approve it with a valid previous history.
After trying to claim the fourth time, now they are saying that the patient was taking tablets for blood pressure and hence they can’t approve it.
For sure, it’s a made-up fake reason for them to deny the claim. Why don’t they ask for this at the time of registration or require a medical report before activating this policy?
We are proceeding with all the legal ways possible as this shouldn’t happen to any health insurance customer out there.
For the people reading this, thank me later.
