Deliberate in NOT settling claims - STAR is bad!

Is this a con company? how can they get such bad reviews and survive? My own experience is also bad. I have been a member since 2008 (Family health). There was one accident to my wife in 2011 and they did not even admit the claim saying it did not qualify for 24 hours hospitalisation, though OP treatmeny for suspected fracture costed us 5500 first and another 4000 later. nothing was reimbursed.

Currently, I am fighting another claim: hospitalised for a day on account of respiratory problems. the claim was given around 7th Nov. On 20th Nov I got a letter that they have not received any claim papers so far and delay in submission could lead to denial of claim! when I contacted the Adyar office where I submitted the staff laughed and said ’ please ignore the letter sir. this is a standard letter corporate sends to all people who intimated about claim’. what is this attitude? covering ones and putting customer in a tight spot?

After several days I got a letter that I should get additional details about exact onset duration of the discease and all indoor case papers. The hospital has given all papers, what more they can give?

The hospital staff laughed at the letter and said that ’STAR always does this. they look for reasons to reject the claim’ . What reputation this company has? Is the CEO/MD taking note of this? Your own employees, asscoaites ( network hospitals) laught at you?

With regret
