I have a policy for my Senior citizen parents under the so called Red Carpet scheme. After paying premium for three years and last year they called me to double the policy cover with double premium for which I agreed.
But when my Mother got sick and was in ICCU, they first asked for all previous history upto five years, as there was none they asked for previous history of all past years.
In which they found my mother had undergone an operation 12 years ago which was not disclosed. So the claim was denied.
Never take a policy from Star Health as they believe in only collecting premiums, it is a Middle East based organisation run by some NRI.
