The banks be it nationalized or private banks in a bid to get more customers have forgotten about their existing customers. Forget about nationalized banks who do not have enough staff but private banks in order to give more service usually give you call or reminders very often so as to irritate like offering free credit cards, personal loans. free financial planning(although it is most expensive), insurance etc. I would like to share one of my experiences with a nationalized bank SBI.
I was supposed to apply for vacancy in a govt. company wherein I was supposed to submit money and form at SBI and unfortunately that was the time when there were a number of job openings with SBI and other govt. companies so we were asked to get in a queue which started from the gate of the bank and we waited for almost 3 hours standing outside the bank in queue just to submit the form and cash along with people who came to deposit the money. We werent even allowed to go inside the bank and inquire for forms.
After 3 hours finally I reached the counter and was told that forms will be submitted on the next counter which was free since morning. I submitted the form at the counter and went outside to other people waiting in queue to submit forms to go inside and told them that these guys dont know anything and have wasted our time. Hope they improve their infrastructure and make their employees more people friendly so as to sustain themselves in the long run.
