On Sept 13th I applied for a Sterling Holidays Vacation Plan(25 years membership) and paid down payment of around 24k. But the very same day I had to decide to cancel my application due to certain personal reasons. I know it was a hasty decision from my side but I fell for the special offer that they had for IndusInd credit card customers(I am being a IndusInd Credit Card Holder) and I was told to decide on the spot.
The very same day I applied for the vacation plan through one of Sterling holidays sales rep from Mumbai Branch - I had written to them to cancel my application. As per their T&C - if customers apply for a cancellation with in 10 days from the date of down payment - they are eligible to get 100% refund and cancellation. Now for the last 2 weeks I am making calls to their Mumbai branch - most of the time they dont pick and they transfer to someone who cant answer or help me. They keep telling me to contact customer care. I have contacted their customer care at Chennai - they keep saying I need to work it out with the Mumbai branch. I must have called at least 3-4 times to their customer care and 2-3 times to their office.
Once I received a call from their Mumbai branch and the person I spoke to wanted to know the reason which I had explained and he confirmed that he will process my request but so far there is no sign of response or acknowledgement that my cancellation is being processed.
I got only response from a customer care rep via email saying my concern should be resolved by 19-Sep but that did not happen.
This is really frustrating. I never in my dream thought Sterling Holidays are so unprofessional. I truly regret the decision I made to take the spot offer.
I am planning to wait for few more days hoping Sterling holidays respond and do the needful. If there are planning to drag this for a long time - then I am going to fight this out via legal means.
