Subway Low Carb Wraps

I myself am on the carb addicts diet and have lost 90 pounds so far. So when I heard about the Low carb wraps I was so excited! Bread! any time of day! YAY!

As a vegetarian I didn’t try the advertised wraps, I just filled mine with veggies and cheese. The wrap itself has 5 grams of carbs, and I didn’t find it half bad. The texture was more chewy and gummy then a regular wrap (almost crepe like), and it was somewhat soggy from the juice from my extra pickles. The taste also differed from a regular wrap. Personally I am not a huge fan of tortilla’s anyways, too floury in my opinion, but the atkins one had a whole wheaty kind of taste rather then floury. It was also cheap, Under 4 dollars with tax for my veggie cheese wrap.

Next time I will nix the cheese (for the fat the ’processed cheese food’ doesnt have much taste) and I would skip the Dijon horse radish sauce and just got for lite mayo (under a gram of carbs) and the mustard (also under a gram). I would definitely get it again, although it wasn’t fantastic by any means..it did fill me up for not a lot of cash, stayed with in my carb allowance, and held my veggies in place while I ate em...which is pretty much all I think a tortilla is meant for!

Hopefully other chain restaurants with jump on the low carb bandwagon aswell!

Happy eating!
