Now while you read this review..plz try not to think that am biased..you are too free to have your own point of view..but this book was the most horrible read till date for me..and I do understand, what a mature plot means..now lets see..the novel does begin with an interesting note..the author describes how he changed from a happy-go-lucky kinda guy to a mature one..just that the big ideas of the author got caught with his limited writing skills..We start from his entry in DCE..the plot is so random..I cant even term it as "non-linear"..its feels as if he is writing whatever discreet ideas are coming in his mind..sample this..he discovered his newly, improved, intellectual self after getting kicked out of a brothel in paris..
Not many great transformations occur that way.."no-nonsense" type writing? take another example..in chetan bhagats 5 point someone, that bed scene was hot, funny and it did maintain the dignity..and here the author takes the pain even to describe the color of some parts..one word:Cheap..how the protagonist became a writer..its another most horribly written part..theres no pain..no description..and too much essence of bollywood, when the girl, who was already a published writer, saw that guy emerging with his own book..the Paris plot is yet something I couldnt figure out why the hell the author has cam up with..and the happy ending..the hero and the heroine makes love early morning in the delhi metro station..
Do pardon me friends..I wish I couldve written something good abt this book..but truly..I will consider reading it as the most horrible mistake of my life, until I find something worse..
