Not because of its music but its great story! I listen to all the songs of swadesh and simply could not understand the music! Then I rushed to google to find out story of ’’swadesh’’ so that I could find out what A.R.Rehman wants to say through his music! Finally, I got it. Yes, Rehman has composed some superb music for ’four’ tracks.
But, I have downloaded the songs, so I don’t know in what order they come in cd pack.So, I decided to sort this songs by their quality of music in the album itself. Here comes the list...
1}Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera:-A.R.Rehman [Rating:-]
Song starts with soft drum beats followed by mellow tune of shehnai.This is to give feeling as if song is played at ’’first prahar of night’’. This is Raag ’’Yaman’’. Rehman has slightly modified this raga intelligently. This is superb effort by him.The track is in between madhyam and mandra(slow) laya(pace). This is to me a far better track than ’’Dil se’’ track. This is classical and not funky track.A must listen........
2}Yeh Tara Woh Tara:-Udit & kids [Rating:-]
This modified version of raga ’’kalawati’’, a Raga that is mostly played at night.Udit has sung this one magnificently.Kids mellow voices has been rendered superbly.Another treat to ears.Highly recommended.
3}Dekho na:-Udit & Alka [Rating:-]
I think this as an experiment by Rehman. I never listen this kinda tracks in Bollywood ever. This is truly great effort.Though it seems as if he has stolen tunes from the film ’’Sur’’ they are rendered well here. Actually he has remixed this track by stealing the tunes. But, hey whats the final result, a superb melody!Only he can do this man!A great musician.........
4}Ahista Ahista:-Udit & don’t know others(I have downloaded man!)[Rating:-]
Hey! whose going through sleepless nights.Take this tablet man! what a lory! OK. Jokes apart. But frankly I have never listen such a slow paced track in our Bollywood ever. Background music is superb. Cow bells used for background music draws stunning sound! He has also used some glass & industrial bells, you generally get in NATIVE INSTRUMENTS ’’FM7’’ software synthesizer. Udit sings straight from the heart!Very well done.Hurray!!!!!!
5}PAl PAl hai bhari:-Obviously don’t know the singers [Rating:-**]
Rocking Bhajan man! Take some pieces of sponge & cotton to fill your ears!Start to listen the track exactly one minute before it finishes. To be perfect start at 5:45.Listen carefully.I think Rehman has used his whole orchestra here!!!Frankly his recordings are generally crystal clear Dolby recordings.
Your ear are gonna be burst man! OK. Jokes apart. But again experiment and that too with our divine Bhajans!I dont like too much of experiments !Judge it from our indian team’s performance! Honestly , in the entire song I like the word ’’BIPITA’’ only. Hey!when I gonna marry my wife’s name surely going to change........to........
6}Yunhi chala chal:-Udit &......[Rating:-]
Frankly, I can compose such tunes in sleep man! No, experiment this time. Wise man. (Ok sainath seems to be unhappy with this one. He wants to change it. Now, I will explain this song to you. This tune though semms usual, its actually not usual tune. Its not that easy tune to compose.Its not a funky tune in a way it is composed.I did try to play this tune on my synth but was a difficult on first hand.
Later on I did manage to play it. This song is actually a fusion(mixture of east & west music).It has fixed rythem. You start tapping ur hands & feet as soon as u listen this track. I think this song could play vital(not major)role in film’s success. Happy now...)
7}Sanwariya:-Alka [Rating:-**]
Why are you challenging me? I have banks of such tunes on my pc!!!!!(This one is a bit usual tune to all of us.This is slow rythmic tune. It has enough things to give pleasure to ur ears. Just listen at anytime if you like it.......I think Sai will be happy now)
Too much experiment. I dont know what this is gonna yield. Good album though.
Oh! you wanna compare this one with Veer-Zaara. We will check it in ’’Fun Contest’’!
