Worst credit card service - Tatacard

I too have horrible experience with them. It was till I used the card to buy a mobile phone from a fraud website called timtara using tata card. The mobile phone has not arrived, I have placed charge back request on 15 January 2013. The charge back should be raised in 4 months from transaction date. They have asked me to send a firm duly signed with transaction details for which the charge back/dispute is raised. I have sent them via e-mail to the e-mail address provided by them.


There is no response other than automated acknowledgement. I called their customer care after a month, they said we need to wait for 45-110 days from date of request for any update. The next day I got a e-mail from them asking me to submit the dispute form (they have not mentioned what is the discrepancy with the form which I have sent earlier). I sent the form again, waited for a month and called them to get the status. They gave same reply and asked me to send the form again. This time I sent the form to head of tatacard via speedpost. No response for that too.


Again, called their customer care, I was asked to send the form again. I emailed the form again, no update this time too. They simply delayed by saying the cut-off dates and finally told me to pay the dues. The reason they mentioned is they have not received the dispute form. I lately realized that they are not interested in processing the chargeback requests.


My friend too bought a mobile from Timtara using ICICI Credit card, the mobile did not arrive. He too placed a chargeback request to ICICI Bank. They have contacted the payment gateway and reversed his money in just 60 days.


They have one of the worst customer care I have experienced. Even for a small request we need to call them 3-4 times, they will place your call on wait for 20-30 minutes if you are a frequent caller. I do not recommend anyone to choose Tata card. They have employed some people at the retail outlets of Tata group (mainly at Croma, Star Bazaar), those guys make the life horrible for the shoppers at stores. They keep chasing people and asking them to enroll for credit card.


They have highest rate of interest among all credit card companies in India and worst in doing any service.
