My budget max - 4 lacs . good if it was within 3.5 Lacs; mandatory feature:- AC and Power steering
Note: I am not amongst those who want a car for a single person travel.
A car means comfortable 4-5 poeple travelling togather. short or long
drives.
Options:
800: wanted something more than this. if nothing comes in budget I will go for this.
New Zen: nothing great in mileage, cramped better only by a marginal
increase in power and looks from 800. The rear seats are worse than a
800.
Wagon R petrol: same as New zen minus its looks too.
Wagon R DUO: 4 lacs. AC not good, rear seat nothing more than a autorickshaw seat.
Santro~ 4lacs nothing good in mileage, poor looks.
Alto cannot sit 5 comfortably. Stability and luxurious feeling is much lesser than XETA. 20K more in price.
XETA -ves:-
- finish not good. You will find people saying body sound in a few
days, bonnet open up on its own in rare cases. door doesn’t fit
properly. Well these can be rectified if you can sit with the mechanic
once if you face the problem; understand the problem and ask how the
mechanic is going to fix it. You are done. No more complaints.(Provided
u know how to sit with the mechanic, nornmally they wont allow)
Mileage same as santro, but pick up at speeds less than 30 is too low.
Poor service and support but instead of fighting with them if you
observe carefully you can find a way out so that your work is done.

Comfort the biggest of all positives.
Mileage is same as of Santro 12 in city 16-18 on highway with AC.
Stable at speeds of 100+.
Cruise over potholes you wont feel that ur car is being damaged by driving on that road.
Very powerfull AC.
I squeezed in 6 people while going for a long drive. Poeple weren’t complaining as much as I did with 5 people in a Santro.
Price on road 3.21 bangalore.
Better body and paint. autorickshaw rubbed the body along the door
. minor scratch that too removable by applying WAXPOL or anyother
manuall pollish.
