Tata Indicom broadband: Reasons to stay away -

  1. Disconnected for last one week

  2. Registered a complaint on Day0 and on Day7, the problem is - **As it was!

3. Customer Care is first of all not reachable and if U r indeed lucky to get them - they always have very valid excuses to convey to you there incapacity to solve your problem and to convince U that Ur complaint is being escalated and been given top priority status(Please note that I made atleast 17 calls in last one week and 5-6 times I was told this - not that it is top priority but it is now being made top priority). I also dropped a mail with a complaint to customer care - As was expected - No Response!


4. Needless to say the breach in SLA(Service Level Agreement - to resolve a complaint). FYI - the **SLA was 6hrs.I now don’t even want to count the no. of hours in breach

  1. For last 1 week or more, I have made almost 17 calls at my expense(wait time included - total call cost close to Rs 150), without yet having received even a single call from Tata Indicom(not for checking the status, not for checking the resolution, not for apologising for the delay in resolution)

Outcome: The mental harresment it caused me - was convincing enough to get out of this contract as soon as possible and at any cost. If this is how there service begins, GOD only knows what all they will treat me in future with.


The only good thing that has happened is that my cheque(I had opted for a post-paid connection and paid Rs 3000+ for 4mths) was not yet encashed after almost 1 week also.I had to pay for a stop payment charge(Rs 56) but having done that I feel much releived having saved my money from these THUGS and knowing that now I don’t need to contact them but let them now run after me to get there instruments. I am definitely going to return there instruments but not untill they apologise.


I now have no net connection - bc to Tata Indicom (I have said TATA), and Airtel & Relaince are unable to give a connection in my locality. I am much happy walking down to the cyber cafe or using my office net for all - rather than having to suffer mentally with the sodgy service and customer support.
