Bought this connection on 11 March 2012 in Kolkata. Activated it within few days and called customer service to confirm that they have my documents and my connection is verified, in case I had missed a verification call from them. Used it for 2 days in march end and again spoke with customer service to find about validity of mbs given during first month and if a carryover was possible to next month, since I had hardly used the 2Gb free data given to me, to which the answer was negative. Been traveling out of Kolkata since April mid. The connection stopped working. Called customer care couple of times, even had half an hour conversations sharing the details, and told every time that my connection is unverified, the vendor never submitted the documents.
Someone in Calcutta should submit the documents since I am not returning there till July. Wish I had known tata photon plus is not an India level service and as good as your local grocery store. Offered multiple times over phone calls and emails to cust care if I can courier my identity docs to an address given by them in Calcutta; or if I can submit them to their outlet in Delhi, which can be scanned and emailed to them. They just keep asking to get this resolved in Calcutta and someone should personally go and submit documents. Please beware of this brand.
