I had taken tata sky without enquiring too much about the same. However I was proved wrong in going by the brand name. TATA is no longer trustable.
I found the products too rigid and the service is horrible. I have got better response and service from BMC, LIC and MTNL.

The initial instalation was done in a technically wrong way. This was told to us by a TATA sly representative who came to survey the installation. However, nothing was done from their side even though the surveyer tok photographs of the installation.
You do not have the option to disable the services temporarily once you ave paid up. Even if you know you will be out of town for a month, you have to pay for the period.
There is no option to select individual channels, even if you are ready to pay for the same.
There is no proper customer redressal mechanism. Only one phone number is provided which is never free. The second option is to raise an online query on the site. Here also the upper limit for number of words is 60. You cannot even write properly about your issues.
I recently requested for a reinstallation of my dish and the engineers made me waste the entire day. They kept me busy by giving me various numbers to followup with. No one was there to resolve the proble.
The charges for after sales services are also exhorbitant.
In short, I feel that I got cheated by the name of "TATA".
