I am at a stage where I don’t know if I should write the reality of this car or just throw some bluff news about it.
Well, Realistically! I had a really bad experience with the Dealer, Service Center People and finally TATA Motors as well. We bought this car with lot of spirit to get happiness and joy out of it but with no luck. I always think about investing in the domestic product to make sure Indian money stays in India. Owning a GX Version still couldn’t give us any sort of satisfaction.
Worst Part:
It has been 5 months since we bought this car and run down around 7000kms, we started noticing one after the other issues coming out. Major issues are with the assembly, stability and the design itself. TATA Motors has done a great job by giving a big space in this car but has not met any stability and safety requirements for the passengers in it. Vehicle has tumbled(fallen down) at an avg speed of 55kms in the city. What a shame on the SUV type of vehicle. Yes, we were lucky and safe to get out of the car through the back doors after we had this vehicle skid off.
When notified to the dealer, they have no expertise to understand the problem of the vehicle and neither they want to know how and why this could happen. We then escalated to TATA Motors to look into this issue and they tried to hide the secrets of the vehicle I guess. They just gave a simple conclusive statement by saying " No problems with the Vehicle". I was like "what the hell" and "where am I on this earth"? There are some physical properties like " High Center of Gravity", " Traction Control", "Suspension Issues", "Bad Brakes that possibly can Lock", "Abnormal Chassis", "Assembly or Design issue" and finally I think "manufacturers defect". Don’t know what but there is definitely a big problem with it.
Not good:
Looks great but not a great vehicle when you drive on the Highways as it might go anywhere to anywhere when you apply brakes. It skids off and it did many times to me.
-Cheap Plastic in Dashboard/Console
-Seat belts stuck
-Power Windows get stuck often and need very high battery power
-Chamber vibrations echoes and resounds throughout the Car when run at 80 or above speeds
-Something hits in the bottom from the rear side of the Leaf Springs when you drive at higher speeds
-Brand new car vibrates from the front poles side(Twittering noise in the front seated area)
-Passengers seated move sideways when its turned left/right side.
-3rd Row seated passengers jump in their seats even on the smaller bumps
Frustrating Part:
Dealers, Service Technicians, TATA Support SUCKS. They treat you like a TAXI Driver. You are on the phone for hours and hours to get the response from them. They even hung up on me many times. Their escalation process is useless. No one wants to listen to your complain and sit down to talk with you in person. I don’t know what rocket science they are busy with. I look like a stupid complaining about the car to them. I have finally sued them in the consumer court. Let me see if I get justified. Rather TATA Motors should be happy that I am reporting this to their faces.
My question is: What if the vehicle would have killed the entire family in that incident? Would someone knew why this could happen?
GOOD PART:
After experiencing all this, what do you want me to write good thing about this so Called MUV(MULTI UTILITY VEHICLE).
I’d say transporting animals in this car would do good but not families.
