Very Poor Service at TEKNIK MOTORS, Sarjapur, BLR

My name is Rohit Kumar and I own Royal Enfield Electra - 350, bought in June ’13 (meter reading - 1140 Kms)


Registration Number: HR 06 - AB - 1851


I am residing in Bangalore and I gave my RE for servicing at:


TEKNIK Motorcycles,

Manager/Supervisor Name: Mr. Ramchandra


First time on 16 Aug ’13, I got few spare parts as below:

  1. Crash Guard

  2. Handle Bar

  3. Headlight Cover

  4. Silencer Rubber

  5. Mirror RH

  6. Washing and Labour

I paid an amount of Rs. 2438, as these parts doesn’t come under warranty.


Second Time on 17 Aug ’13

  1. Shock up Oil Seal was Broken

  2. Engine Oil

Again I paid 700 Rs


Third Time on 20 Aug ’13, I gave the bike to fix the problem for the sound which is coming from Engine. I told the same problem the First time, Second time and Third time also.


But they never fixed and Third time they kept my bike for 2 days, I took my bike on 21st Aug evening at 03:00 PM. However they never fixed the problem.


When they changed the Shock Up oil seal, they broke the Shock up (there is a visible crack), now they are denying the same.


I asked them to put one additional horn, which they never fixed. I asked them to check Indicators, as there is water vapors inside, which they never fixed.


Reasons they told:

  1. There is only 1 mechanic at their service center who can fix the Engine Sound Problem and the rest of problems which I told, his name is Imran and he is not available right now (though my bike was there for 2 days).

  2. They don’t have spare parts at their Service center and they will bring the same from somewhere else.

  3. I should not call them to check for service updates, they will call me after fixing every problem, however they never called in 2 days.

I called Royal Enfield Head Office, Chennai today at at 03:40 PM on 044-42230400 and I got a response that someone from RE will get in touch with me soon. I am requesting Royal Enfield Management to provide me solution for the same.


Since 7 years it was a dream for me to be a owner of Royal Enfield, BUT I never had a idea that this would be the worst dream I could ever have.
