OK, frankly I have bought a lot of stuff from Indiatimes, May be more than 80000 worth of it, including white goods and airline tickets, and here is what I feel ...( for the white goods section only, that is the tell your price auctions, and for the travel related stuff read my other review)

Pros:

1. Decent Stuff with decent Prices,

2.Nice brands available at one place,

3.no hassles with payments, the website is dependable with the payments and

4.there are no hidden charges

1. delivery right to your place, I know this is a silly thing, but I feel that delivery by the company people is much more depndable than the rickshaw and thela wallahs around. And they actually call prior to coming down to your place to deliver

   
   




2. I have availed of the warranty services from Godrej and they are pretty satisfactory

   
   

Cons:

1. Service in the intervening period from the order date to the delivery date, there is no manual interaction method, sinc ethe only way to contact is the website feedback option, and they do respond to these messages, albeit a tad late... could take anything from 48-72 hours for a decent response. The first three things were delivered quite promptly, however the Refrigeratoe took more than 45 days and soe serious emailing to recieve.

   
   




2. BIll was a problem with the LG A/C, after repeted reminders they sent a Indiatimes bill stamped, not from LG. For the remaining three times I got the decent Bill directly from the manufacturer.

   
   

Some Observations:

The price diffrential between the prices on the website and the prices available in the open market is diminishing, With no price differential, I personaly would like to buy such expensive stuff directly from a physical shop than an e-shop, at least I kow who to go to in case of some trouble.

I was a big fan of this service till I had twin troubles at the same time....A/C bill issue and the fridge not being delivered...... seems like they have not been able to scale up the business model with increasing site traffic. THus all in all the dependability has taken a hit.

So alli can say, is good stuff, so go bid for it, and once you win, keep your fingers crossed, the service varies from outright pathetic and irresponsive to superbly great.....YOUR LUCK Essentially
