My choice for the must watch Amitabh bachchan’s movies are from all genre action, romance, art and serious movies. The man whose name has became to synonym Almightly of Moviedom has got the following best movies according to me:

Deewar. A movie who first time made a negative character into a hero. The struggle with poverty and the might of power. An all time impeccable classic with ultimate performance by all, classic script and dialogues.
Manzil. Many of you don’t know perhaps this Basu Chatarji make but it is a very light hearted movie with great messege, some most romantic cinematography specially of female voiced song rimjim gire sawan, and superb natural performance of AB as a immature enthusiastic technician who ebcomes enterprenuer. A must watch for real movie watchers.
Alaap. AB made maximum movies with Hrishikesh mukherji..the best moviemaker who captured the essence of social structure and underlying lovely relationship where tragedy, irony and comedy all shared the space. But alaap is a serious stuff which looks into the life of real indian classical musicians and their condition in India. AB has got three different character in this movie...A rebellious but respectful son of a businessman, who has strong affection for poor and has socialist approach and dies for music. This is ultimate performance movie by all including Rekha and Omprakash..except sanjiv kumar who did worst performance to the movie.
Abhimaan. A successful husband find a more successful wife by serendipity and thereafter how he spoils his life. again a gem from bench of hrishikesh mukerji. contains ultimate romantic songs and heart wrenching positive ending. again classical from top to bottom.
Mili. Want to see how to made a soulful movie with just two room and few people to act in? watch this one..a movie by hrishikesh mukerji with jaya and ab again..with soulful script, situation and songs...and not to forget life time performance in such a small budget movie...that you end up with a warm sublime heart. this movie was exactly copied by Rajshri’s Ankhiyon ke Jharokon se.
Saudagar. A man who is famous for high quality taudi gud in village and depnds upon a lady for his succes but loves some one and in order to get that lady love he marries a lady due to whom e profited ending up the marriage and lost to nowhere. An ultimate script, superb performance.
Don. They have made new copy crap of this classic..a all time hit movie which u cant stop watching any number of time. Comparison is must, , becuase here AB brings grace to the character of Don..who looks mature and cunning and not a psycho and hyperactive kid. watch his performance with eyes acting for don and watch his sublime chora ganga kinare wala... the best entertainer of all time.
Silsila. This movie is called as the golden standerd of all romantic movies and extra marital affair...the performance were so natural that people misunderstood it real. The fragrance book of romanticism and ultimate songs and poetries by AB. just watch it.
Naseeb. Manmohan desai comedy and full entertainer...to put your mind in back and watch the movie. AB looks handsome and very romantically coupled with Hema Malini.
I have not included Black, Viruddh, Agnipath, Reshma aur Shera, Namak Halaal, Bemisaal, Main azaad Hoon, Kala Paththar, Muquadar ka sikander and many tohers....but they are no less still I have to stay unconfused and maintain my best 10 selection. Otherwise the list is really long.
