Unfragranced Lotion caught my eye at a recent Body Shop shopping spree because for one ... many times we need a lotion without fragrance. I need a lotion 24/7 because of extra dry skin but I dont always want that lotion fragranced for several reasons.
Fragranced lotion contains alcohol usually which promotes drying of the skin and since Im already like the Sahara , why do I need to promote any more dryness.
Plus fragranced lotions can alter the smell of your favorite perfume, so if I spend money of a great scent, why alter it with a conflicting lotion.
The unfragranced lotion at the Body Shop is made of natural ingredients that are obtained by free trade. This system of trade offers various groups of people the chance to sell their wares to this company and net a profit to boost thri economy .. for instance , if a native tribe is harvesting an ingredient in a rainforest somewhere , they body shop team buys that item to add to their lotions ect and pays this native group without taking advantage of this group like many capitalist companies would. I hope I explained that alright ...
But its a great thing in other words......
Also the unfragranced lotion gives you one other option .. you can add any scent of oil the Body Shop sells and make your unfragranced lotion into your own personal scent. The body shop encourages a person to experiment and so I did ...
I bought the unfragranced lotion and added Sandalwood and Vanilla to make a lotion with not only a heavenly scent but one that gains attention since I have everyone asking me ’’what is that your wearing?’’ I LOVE THAT SCENT!
You also have the option of adding sunscreen to this lotion for those hot sunny summer days, so you can protect yourself from those pesky UV rays and soften at the same time !
Of course their is a slight charge for adding scent and sunscreen but the fact is that your the one who decides how much , and of what so it is worth every extra penny !
Its a great thing to have options .......
