THIS REVIEW IS DEDICATED TO MY SWEET KITTU (not this magazine..)
I remember my childhood days when I was extremely scared of cats.I used to think they are no less than a SHER ! The best way to frighten me was to just show me a cat around.My mother used to say ’’If you dont study I will throw you in front of a cat.’’
About 3 months back I got myself a small male kitten.I went to buy fishes for my aquarium from Shivaji Nagar, Bangalore but I got a sweet kitten with me.It was just 20 days old.Its hair were white and orange.I named it Kittu.
Kittu was very naughty.It used to play with me and my friends.It was so cute and innocent that everyone fall in love with it.But it was very irritating at times.It was very demanding kitten and liked to play whole day with us.While sleeping it used to come over my blanket and then slowly slide inside.
A very well mannered but as it never made my room dirty.It used to go over a news paper specially kept for it for use.My kittu was a special kitten as it hated milk! yes you read it right.It liked only non veg item and fish was its favourite.It used to jump and eat it in such a hurry as if it was starving.I used to tease it while eating and it used to get very angry over me.I made a special home for it in a TV box and it was quite happy with it.It used to sleep and eat in that box only.
Ten days passed like this having lots of fun with kittu.Then I started studying seriously for my final year exams.But kittu was not letting me study.It used to jump and sit on my ’’head’’ or sit on my book while studying.
I tried many ideas to keep it away.I gave it in a girl’s hostel for a day but they also believe this sweet chotu is SHER ha ha.I approached one of my friend who already has one big male cat.But he told that a male cat kills male kittens! Than someone told me that there is one more girl’s hostel where a cat has delivered 5-6 kittens about a month back.I was very happy that all those kittens are kittu’s age and I went with it to that hostel.I felt very down when the girls told me ’’please dont add more trouble..these 4 are enough to eat our heads.’’I was disappointed by all.
I was very sorry for kittu as I loved it very much and dint want to shift it to any unhealthy or unloving places.And never back to Shivaji Nagar market’s prison!
Then next day a vaternary doctor gave me ’’cat rehabilitation centre’’ phone number.I was happy that kittu will go ino a place full of his friends.But when I called on that number they told me to come there personaslly and hand over the kitten to them.They told some address which was about 35 km from my place in Bangalore.I dint have so much time as my exams were approaching. There was no option left.I was thinking if I keep it I am fail and If I give it than where?
I was helpless I tried everywhere and my precious exam time was ruining.I made myself strong and returned it back to the Shivaji Nagar market.And I felt very happy when a kid took it from that person in from of me. :-)
I miss kittu very much.I still keep its picture as my cellphone wallpaper.
I know thar naughty will be hunting rats now !
