Plot and Overall:
First things first, even though the movie is a straight liftfrom ‘Collateral’ the Hollywood movie starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, -- for all its worth, the Killer is a goodfresh plot movie for bollywood, realtaut screenplay and story, the movie makes you remain on the edge for mostpart.
Would not really talk much about the plot since, that wouldruin the thriller for the people who have not seen it, all I can say on thisend is that the plot is really good(since the Bhatt camp has not made anydrastic changes to the original plot from collateral) and so the movie retainsthe thriller flavor of the original Hollywood movie, still the impact is great, and a good overall watch
Actors and Actresses:
The movie essentially has two characters- Emraan Hashmi andIrfaan Khan, Nothing needs to be said about Irfaan, he is excellent in hisruthless role, and seems to be portraying the character in a very calm manner….In fact his calm approach to his job, makes Emraan go crazy…..seriously greatwork by Irfaan.
Emraan Hashmi comes out as a surprise, he does not reallyget to sing any songs, and in the end, does not even get to kiss the girl (a wisecrackjoke in the end), yet he has done a good job, and has actually competed withIrfaan at places for acting honors (surprise! Surprise!!)
All other characters in the film are side actors; no realneed to have a heroine in a movie like this yet the leading lady (??) managesto look pretty and gets to gyrate to a song….. The don appears comic; in facthe is the only character who has not been characterized well, the scene withthe don, where Emraan Hashmi actually emboldens a bit is great
Direction and Music
Great direction, and a taut storyline, no loose ends here( effect of picking up from Hollywood may be), thebackground score is awesome, completely links to the movie, the dialogues are fabulous, and bring out the extremities between the leading pair beautifully.
Overall, a Good watch, not a movie worth yearning to watch, yet watch it at leisure , and would it would not disappoint you for a goodtimepass!!
