Well the album in context here is ’’Legend Of Bhagat Singh’’. I was so impressed by the trailers that I bought the album on the day of its release. Believe me, the album has not one, not two but five amazing songs which are sung with complete commitment and beauty by sonu nigam, sukhwinder and alka yagnik (this lady is just superb!).
The first song ofcourse is ’’Mera Rangde Basanti’’, which is better than any other version of it. After all this one’s music is scored by the ’’ultimate bollywood music maestro’’- A.R. Rahman. The song is sung on a very subtle note by Sonu Nigam as well as Sukhwinder. The next one is an amazin foot-thumping, melodious and catchy song, ’’Pagdi Sambhal Jatta’’ sung by Sukhwinder who so full of Josh!
Then comes the sweetest song of all, ’’Cheerevalia’’, sung in an amazingly sweet tone by Alka Yagnik. Believe me, this song will leave you wanting for more! And finally come the two most ultimate songs of the album!(not that the others are less important!).
They are : ’’Des Mere’’ and ’’Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna’’. These two songs will leave you with a strong feeling of Patriotism and who knows you might just do sumthing for your country (lol)! Well the speciality of these song is their heart - touching lyrics and the soulfull music of Mr. Rahman.
