The supposed to be fourth estate of Society - Media, has been let down by Times of Indias corporate and business philosophy. It seems that the Newspaper has no independent Identity from The Times group.
Product promotions: TOI shamelessly and disproportionately promotes Time groups events and products, without any disclaimer. This is becomes even more dangerous than these promotions are embedded within articles and not just Ads. Examples of these would be
Hum tum comic strip: this is based on the soon to be released movie Hum Tum, which is being distributed by Times Group

The newspaper has lost all objectivity and cannot be termed as a quality daily anymore. It should be classified as a tabloid (Even tabloids are known for innovative journalism!)
DO NOT BUY THIS NEWSPAPER
If you are solely interested in useless city information and have a word recognition limit of 200 words then this is the paper for you, but if you have passed 2nd grade then avoid this paper.
One good thing though is that you can read Calvin and Hobbes
