When I went for this movie, I thought that this is a just another Vijay entertainer. But later I realised that ’’Thirupathci’’ is path breaking movie, one of its kind ever made in Kollywood. The story(!?!) goes like this:
The plot:
Sivagiri is a ’gone case’ living in the village, thirupatchi.His is a black smith making weapons.
He has got a sister(karuppu)and he wants her to get married in a place with minimum facilities. So he gets her married in Chennai.
Coming to chennai, Sivagiri is very much upset with the violence and rowdism found in chennai.
Catalysed by the death of this friend , he promises his sister’s son (who is still in the womb) that when he comes out he will see a peace full world.
So what happens next?
Very simple!He kills all the rowdies , saves chennai and keeps the promise.
And that is end of the movie.Throught the movie rowdies come in different flavors, styles and titles

Why is this movie path breaking?
Generally in movies, even though they dont maintain logic...they have some kind of pseudo logic running through the screen play.
Thirupachi breaks this and believe me if you can find logic of any kind existing this movie, then you are the next Sherlock Holmes.
Then mostly in our movies there will be some abnormal charachters coming through out.And in real life if you come across those type of characters you will think they are lunatics escaped from an asylum.If this is true then tirupachi is a movie totally about lunatics, mentally retarded people and psychopaths.
Becoz you wont find any normal charachter in the movie,
The hero is a Psychopath, who kills poeple brutally with whatever he gets in the hand.(’’Girivalam’’, as he procalims it!)
His police friend is another psychopath, who is least bothered about the death of his own son, rather very much interested in killing rowdies.
And not to mention all the Villians are also psychopaths.For instance take ’panparak ravi’ (check out the innovation!).He kills people by blowing HIT(cockroach repellent) in the victim’s mouth.
And all the other characters are mentally retarded. Trisha, Karuppu , heros friend, Livingston, Dheena ...all are worth mentioning in this category.
This is the first ever and path breaking movie made only about abnormal charachters.
And music of the film is another path breaking effort by Dheena...
From start to end, you hear only noises and nothing else.Some sane BGM’s were copied from movies like MATRIX.
Especially during songs you feel like blood oozing out of the ears.
There is also a path breaking song, in which for the first time in the history of cinema you will see a item number+devotional song combined.
Why Trisha comes in the movie, no body knows. How did the director came up with such a movie? very diffcult to answer!
