Its a known fact that if you are raised a certain way, you will probably raise your children the same way and the same likelihood exists when it comes to cleaning, doing laundry, etc. One of the great laundry detergents that has stood the test of time is Tide.
Tide has been keeping our whites white since I was young, and I still use Tide today. Its a brand name that you can trust, from the Proctor & Gamble Company who are to soaps and soap products what Hersheys and Cadburys are to chocolate. You know the name and thus feel the security blanket effect of using products made by the company.
Thus it is with Tide. It is the same, and its not. It still gets whites white, but now there are added enhancers to keep coloureds from fading, improvements to the composition so that you can wash in any temperature of water, and an assortment of new scents - the latest being Clean Breeze which they say captures the natural freshness of clothes dried outdoors in a cool spring breeze with the outstanding cleaning power of Tide.
This is my favourite scent. My second favourite is Mountain Spring. Both really have fresh outdoorsy scents that make your clothes smell really clean.
One thing I like about Tide is that I can use it for cold water washes (on protein stains like sweat, spilled food, etc) simply by dissolving it in a little hot water first, and then adding the cold (before the clothes are put in). It has never failed me, stains lift out of fabrics as if they werent a problem at all.
Tide does do a variety with bleach, but Ive never felt the need to use that one as Ive always had such good results with the regular varieties.
There are different size boxes, 18 washloads, 40 washloads and a giant box which I think does about 70 washloads. They are comparatively priced to other name brand detergents and I feel offer excellent value for money.
