BMS CCEE stands for Bachelor of Management Studies Centralized Common Entrance Examination. BMS is a three years degree course of the Mumbai University. Students need to appear for CCEE for admission into this course.
The entrance test is conducted every year in the period from April-June. The test consists of 100 questions to be answered in 75 minutes. The questions are asked on various subjects such as Mathematics, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning etc.
You can prepare for the test by joining a coaching class or by studying yourself. Various coaching classes put up their advertisements in the newspapers in Mumbai. Some of the coaching classes are IMS, Career Forum, etc. The other option available with you is to buy a book on BMS CCEE from any of the leading bookstores. The coaching classes also provide you with study materials that can be purchased without joining the classes.
I had taken this test two years back but I didn’t go for BMS and opted for regular B.Com course.
I got a score of 58 points out of 100 without joining any coaching class and I had studied for only 15 days for the test.
I am giving few tips from my experience:
• The questions asked in the test are not very difficult. You can even appear for the test without studying if you are good at Math and English.
• Officially the passing marks for the test are 40 points but you will get admission in the course even if you have a score of 0 points because the available number of seats in all the colleges is more than 13000 but only 7500 to 8000 students apply. But don’t expect to get an admission in a reputed college with a score of 0 points. For an admission into a reputed college you need a score of atleast 70 points.
• Also keep in mind that you get a rank according to your score. You should also have a good rank for an admission into a reputed college.
• The main aim in the test is to answer maximum questions correctly in limited time. So you should answer the questions quickly. For this practice is must.
• The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. You do not get negative marks if you give an incorrect answer. So if you fail to answer all the questions in time just mark the answers randomly in the end.
• Do not read the entire paper first like we do it in college or school exams. Just read the questions one by one and start marking the answers.
• The paper is not divided into sections and the questions are given randomly on all the subjects.
• Ask the past students who have given the test for notes and study materials.
All the Best
I hope my suggestions were helpful.
