French Manicure for Acrylic and Natural Nails

The basic shapes of every individual?s hands & fingers differ. For instance, there are petite hands and fingers, short but stocky fingers & you have the heavy set hands. We are in days when not only every Modeling girl or a working woman desires to look presentable, but even every house-wife(housewives are cuffing me?. sorry, I mean the?Home-Makers?) desires to keep herself trim & smart. Beautifying a woman includes, Facials, bleaching, manicure & pedicure, waxing the unwanted hair, trimming eye-brows, hair curling / straitening, hair-coloring etc.

Manicure & Pedicure:

Manicure is the process of shaping & fashioning your hand-nails and making them look very presentable & pleasing irrespective of whatever classification the nails be. Manicure these days is considered as one of the significant part of beautifying a woman. Of course, Men?s Salons also does the manicure for men, but their procedures apparently are slightly different. But more than men, most women consider manicure to be more important? & gives it a very noteworthy importance. Pedicure is a similar beautifying process for the nails of the legs.

Purpose of Manicure:

Most of us do not actually realize the importance of manicure. The initial stages of beautification of the nails include preventing nails from chipping and cracking. Having to work with water more in our households, women have more of this problem of nails cracking when compared with the men. A woman has lot of phases in her life right from puberty, pregnancy, delivery, menopause etc. At all these phases, calcium is one of the significant requirements of a woman?s body.

When you find that your nails are constantly breaking, it is high-time that you start your regular intake of some minimal quantity of calcium on a daily basis which could even be supplemented with a glass of plain milk every night. But before you decide to start your intake of calcium or B-Complex tablets, it is advisable to consult your family physician.

Nail Shape for your fingers:

Do you know that by choosing a suitable shape for your nails in accordance with shape of your fingers, you could make your hands look most beautiful? Before going into the procedure of French manicure, what are the shapes that Beauticians prescribe for your finger shapes?

?First, for the petite(very small) hands, almond shaped nails are best suitable, which would make your fingers look very much of normal size.

?Now about the short & stocky fingers, Squared-off oval shaped nails are best suited.

?For the heavy set hands, the squared off endshaped nails would make it beautiful.

Process of French Manicure:

There are basically two procedures depending on whether you are going to go in for a French Manicure for natural nails or the acrylic nails. But in South India, the process commonly followed is that of natural nails & the fact remains that no one is ready to take any risk of trying out those acrylic nails which are being generally undertaken by Film Artists.

There are many disadvantages of the acrylic nails. Jus? to brief you all about the French manicure for the acrylic nails - after the usual procedures of having the natural nails filed and the cuticles pushed backwards, the beautician builds up an acrylic into the nails. The acrylic is again filed up to reaching the desired shape and length. Then she does the applications of a base coat(white or transparent polish) at the tips followed by pink or baby blush depending on your preference on the body of the nail which is again followed by another nail paint of your choice.

The acrylic nails are very hard & rough & tough and could hold nail polishes for a longer time and the nails themselves lasts for about two to three weeks. Then you need to go the beautician again to fill up the gap between your natural nails and the acrylic ones or there is possibility of fungus formation. Acrylic Nails are very very smelly & really once when I happened to saw a beautician performing it to a wouldbe-bride, I really wanted to vomit! Huck?!

French Manicure on Natural Nails:

When compared with the process of American Manicure, French Manicure is cheaper and yields better results. The procedures of French Manicure on natural nails include:

?First hands are soaked in lukewarm water for softening the cuticles

?File and shape the nails as desired, like square shape, oval shape etc.

?Trim the cuticles and remove the extra projections of smooth nailskins on the outer part of the nails

?Now the beautician applies a nail hardener as the base coat to the nail, here the beauty specialist places sticky guides across the tips of the nails, which makes it easier to keep the white part of the French Manicure where it belongs

?After the white tips get dried, a very light / colorless pink coat is applied which is followed by a top coat of our choice.

The aforesaid procedure really gives your nails a beautiful complete look to the nails and is best suited for special occasions. For your normal routine lifestyle, it is advisable to just perform routine manicure alone at Parlors and you could do the nail painting at home. Applications of number of coats and colors could be decided based on your time and other household constraints.

While any common manicure process costs you between INR 75/- to 250/- depending on the standard of Parlors you choose, a French Manicure on an average costs you somewhere between INR 250/- to 450/-. Some high-class reputed Palors at Chennai like the Mythili?s, Vasundara?s?The Visible Difference?. etc. charges a comparatively very high rate due to their popularity.

Rather than spending a considerably lot of money at Parlors for manicures, I would suggest that there are Manicure Kits sold at a very competitive cost at Beauty / Cosmetic Outlets and they could be effectively used at home in order to maintain the nails beautifully & attractively.

The Manicure Kits sold at Cosmetic Malls mainly consists of a cuticle pusher, cuticle nipper, nail filer, combo, manicure stick, nail brush and the nail clipper. Once you get to know what is the common procedure followed at Parlors, you could perform the same kind of procedures at home for best results at an economical cost. But I tell you, the secret mainly lies only in choosing the best shape for your nails?. which is a key factor in the process of beautification of your nails!

I do hope this review would have been interesting to you all. I would appreciate your prompt RRCing(at least please rate it to encourage me to write further).

Bye for now?.

Cheers

Jaya
