I am writing this review cause opinions about this is wanted by mouthshut. I a have been Studying computer-engneering for 3 years, and before that I had no idea of Programming. So my review is especially for those who are beginners in that field, like I was before I started studying, . ok I admit I chose Computer-engeering cause I wanted to avoid to become kind of a’extreme-programmer’.(in fact I hate programming, it is not good for your eyes and your health in GEneral if u sit in front of your computer for a tooo long time) that’S why my main subjects will have to do with engeneering and medical-technology though in my basic education I was taught the basics of programming, which EVERYONE CAN LEARN, even if you dont know anything about computers. So once again this review is for beginners, .now what do you need if u start programming:
time, time, time, really. if you have never programmed so far u have to spend time with that stuff
logical approach to things. You must understand what u are doing, and your computer must understand what you tell him to do, if it does not undertand u, the programme will not work
A certain programming language you want to use in order to write programmes. If you are a beginner then chosse a language that u think will suit u most.
BOOKS books books books After having chosen the language you want to work with you need to buy or lend books that step by step describe and explain what programming is about and what u are supposed to do. It is good if you have a look at various books dealing with the language you want to programme with, it is up to which book(s) you want to use
LEARNING BY DOING Reading books alone wont help you, you must try things on your own along with the theory your knowledge is(now) based on. In short you need a lot of practise( . u need to bowl a lot yourself and practise a lot in order to become a good bowler, only reading about the basics and theory in general about fast-bowling will definetly not help you to become a good bowler and controll the pace, line and length of the ball) personal Advices(gained from personal experience): first of all you must know what a programme in general is: .a programme is a means to tell the computer what it should do.In order to do that you need an editor where u can write your programme.professionals call the stuff u write down on your editor(editor= a programme where u can write) an algorithm.so an algorithm tells the computer what it should do. So a programme consist of alogorithms( different algortithms for different tasks for instance.
.hey everything written here about algortihms and kind of stuff, just forget it if it is too disturbing, in fact these things you will learn on your own, .and actually I dont want my review to be too scientific) what more advice can I give, well I started to programme with the language JAVA. It is easy to understand(at least I had the feeling), I will not write more about JAva cause this is not a review about JAVA, but I do reccomend it for beginners. Another I language I reccommend( which is not really used in the industry cause it is not that powerfull, but it is good to learn the basics of programming in general) is SCHEME. it really helps you to understand programming.
What help can I give: If anyone needs more information about Java or scheme please write me an email and ask as much as you like, .) How in detail a progrAMME WORKS AND WHAT A computer needs else in order to understand the Code u have written down on your Editor I will not explain and describe, cause when u start programming u will read that on your own and for beginners it is not that imoportant.
