If there is one aspect of study, one course, one time investment of a few lakhs of rupees, it’s an ecstatic, euphoric & nostalgic 2 years of my life which I spent as an MBA student.
Heard that before haven’t you? Actually, it’s true. I am not saying that the course is comprehensive and would enable you to jettison all your forth-coming office nuances, and solve those ubiquitous people problems at the snap of your finger. But I am saying that it does to you what that bollywood actress Rekha’s makeup kit is doing for her.
Here is what it does to you
You will love reading the Business Standard & The Economic times, and scores of those other magazines. Better still, you might probably understand all those numbers.
You would want to ’’set up your own business’’ during some point of your MBA tenure, atleast, you be fascinated by businesses.
If you are into Marketing, and on graduation, you joined a small company ( which in fact has tremendous potential to make it big ), but lead by an eccentric, self-proclaimed genius of an idiot, you will want to QUIT, and start off on your own.
You would be smarter than any average turk on the street, and this actually is going to ruin you, if you don’t do something about it.
You will have the guts to talk to audiences, Give presentations and develop excellent communication skills.
You will love CNBC TV 18.
You will want more money, but you would also get to understand it better.
Next time you are at a bank, or a financial Institution, or some phoney trader is trying to sell his new equity based mutual fund scheme, you would know where to hit the panic button.
You would have to be a leader or you might find it hard to survive.
You have to be confident , because without it, you would be a corpse.
So the Bottom line?
Anyone and everyone, be it a doctor or a hair stylist, who has got anything to do with money or business or pesky wifes or irritating children or nagging parents, or starting trouble with good looking women, MBA could help you.
I don’t know about my other MBA Brethren, but I sure got a total ROI for it.
