M.G. Road...Mayo Hall...Bangalore Central...

I’m already pissed off to repeat it. "M.G. Road. Mayo Hall. Bangalore Central Pagkdalle". And guess what I get in return another cold blank look asking me to repeat where exactly I have to go. "M.G. Road. Mayo Hall. Bangalore Central Pagkdalle". I said it again, to get an answer of which I already had a hint when I waived my hand at that AutoRikshaw(auto), "Twenty Rupees extra Kodtira?". I wish I had that HIT spray in my hand. I would have emptied the entire bottle on his black unwashed face with that ugly mustache and would ve enjoyed seeing him suffer like the cockroach that I killed in the morning.

But I really am thankful to him for making me understand the whole concept of "DeMarketing".

"DeMarketing: Price ur service or product so high that people will get discouraged to buy it."

Generally companies do that when their product/service fetches so much demand that they cant meet it. Some companies do that, also, because their products are socially unacceptable or harmful to the consumers(example: Liqour). This concept can also be practiced by companies if the consumers are asking the company to go out-of-the-way to serve them.

But what could be the intention of this service provider to ask for Twenty Rupees more than required(also, blv me - this fellow would ve surely tampered his meter to rotat the bucks faster.).

I think that I’ve asked something that was out-of-the-way for him to do for me. Did I?

"M.G. Road. Mayo Hall. Bangalore Central Pagkdalle". The next fellow thought that it was even more impossible to drop me there so he asked for the best to exploit my desparation.

"Double meter kodtira?"

I think, I really would want to know the reason this time. "Kyon yaar? morning 9.15 ko double meter kyo hota?"

"morning mein MG Rd. se vapas Khali ana padta boss!"

I say, TOO GOOD! I’ve to pay him to come back to the same place from where i’m starting because he’s afraid that he wont get a passenger back to Indira Nagar or to anywhere else from MG Rd.

Now, I’m convinced that it’s really an out-of-the-way demand to ask him to go to MG Rd. at this time.

I’m also convinced that I must start walking to the Bus Stand if I want to be in office on time or else I might really end up paying Auto drivers their DeMarketing prices.

For those who dont know, ask a Bangalorean - where is MG Rd.?

MG Road: Bangalore: Canaught Place: Delhi: Times Square: New York: Heart: Body
