Action, action n more action

Transporter 2 is a sequel to the action Transporter. Now I haven’t seen the original, so I can’t compare it with the sequel. Getting down to the story first: Jason Statham is a temporary driver cum bodyguard to a kid. the kids father is some important guy, who works in the US narcotics agency. the kid gets kidnapped, and Jason is suspected to have a hand in it. Jason saves the day in the end after some mind boggling and many hilarious(’coz there is no way they are in the least believable) action sequences. So that’s that.there isn’t much of a story: I don’t want to leave out some of the hilarious action sequences though.. The first being HAHHAHHAHA!!guys I have to LOL b4 I describe this.

There is a bomb under tha car, Jason sees it in a reflection, zooms the car into the air, flips it over(in the air), and gets the bomb hooked onto the hook of a crane. And that too just before the bomb explodes..and after this 360° flip, Jason lands the car neatly. And this though the biggest goofy scene, wasn’t the only one. There is the last scene in which the aeroplane just spirals through the air, during which the bad guy and Jason exchange a few blows. And when the plane crashes into an ocean, jason comes out of the water like he just went in for a swim with his suit on. There are some other such ’CAN ONLY HAPPEN IN A MADCAP MOVIE’ kinda scenes, but sadly, I cant recollect them all.

And I hated the grossly under-clad bad girl. She seems to have an allergy to anything like cloth. I couldn’t see any sense in her going in to carry a kidnapping with just a coat(which she discarded before I could blink my eyes) and the bare essentials. The movie isn’t a total No-No though. Jason is quite fit, flexible and athletic and some or well many action sequences are well executed.

One chase sequence( you know the good guy runs after the baddie 1) was very good. It had Jason chasing the baddie on foot first and later in a speed boat. It was good till the director overdid it by neatly landing the speed boat onto the road. Some of the stunts were superb too.Jason rocks in the ACTION department. The scene in which he saves the antidote from breaking into pieces was good too(though once again on the HOW COME THAT IS POSSIBLE side).

So if you are action buff, who can overlook everything else and enjoy the stunts, the movie is agreeable for you.Otherwise I guess you had better keep away from it.
