When I joined college I thought of buying a 2 wheeler. when the proposal was put , mum rejected at once. finally after a lot of crying permission was granted on condition that for first year I will have to do with a bicycle.
A BICYCLE...for college? YUKS...the very idea stinks !!!
So first year passed and I was having a hard time with my cycle. Finally the D Day came & I went to buy a scooty..... Alas..... I didnt know what was in store for me.
ek woh din tha jab I was dying for a scooty.......
....aur ek yeh din hai when the sight of it turns me off !!!
the initial days were great with a new scooty to paint the town. I enjoyed it thoroughly though it was costing a lot on my pocket. All was fine till the day for servicing. When I went to pick it back, I was told that the head lights were fused and so they ve replaced it and gave a bill of some 75 rs in my hand. The very first month and lights fused. But wait..... it happened for second servicing also. and then the same happened for the third time. Heights yaar.
As the time passed , I realized how much I d to spend on it for maintenance... brakes became loose every now & then, Carburetor jammed, head lights going off..... and the list goes endless. Then there was a time when the bike ceased to budge untill I kept the choke pressed. I was tired. And it was one fine day that I noticed, speedometer had stopped functioning god knows when !
But there was one big advantage.... My friends never borrowed my bike for any purpose... why? coz they could not move it (u need to keep the choke pressed). One day my friend took it and in 10 mins came back saying I d rather walk then take your scooty.
This is not the case only with me but all my friends who have scooty. Initially I got every single problem repaired..... but then I d to stop somewhere. Now the condition of my scooty is as follows:
Speedometer not working.
Breaks totally loose.
Electric Start not working.
Kick broken (its down, I ve to take it up & kick).
Brake Lights always on.
....... and the list goes on & on & on.....
Today my friend gave a very good suggestion
Sell the scooty, add 100-200 Rs and buy a Bicycle
A BICYCLE...for college? WOW...the very idea appeals !!!
