I expected the music to be good, all right, but I never expected it to be THIS good to the point that I feel I MUST, SIMPLY must write a review on it after listening to it just a couple of hundred times.

So, after listening and memorising the lyrics and the songs (unconciously, I am not THAT a weirdo) and listening to it some more for another 1345 times, I finally got my fingers on the keyboard and got them to dance and create this review. So, shall we begin? Song one :

Kyon Hawa

The poem was really very beautiful and everything so why the hell was it just SAID OUT ALOUD and not sung by some better voiced singer?? Truly, singing is a better expression of words like these than just simply uttering them out loud like that! Then, the music starts. I heave a sigh of relief. The melody has a tinge of happiness. lata opens with her aaaaaa, which for some reason, I don’t quite like so much.

Then, the Sonu Nigam sings and the melody sort of becomes obvious. A nice tune that will have you humming along with the song. Something like a song to give glimpses of the characters, I suppose.

Lyrics superb as usual. It ends with explosion just b4 the veer and zaara reach each other(duhhhhh). Sonu Nigam captivates in the song with Lata just going aaaa along with the music. I have said it once, I will say it again, was there really a need to recite the poem like that in the beginning??!!!!

Main Yahaan Hoon

Shahrukh is here (again). I guess all songs with an SRK feel to it simply has to emphasise the (obvious) fact that he is there. Once again, superb singing and great picturisation. The lyrics are ok compared to the rest of the songs. Great but not spectacular. I think this song is for Zaara?s realisation that she loves Veer. Whereas in previous fims, Shah Rukh runs, (across the roof in MHN and the streets of Manhattan in KHNH), looks like Zaara is the one doing all the running here, whether to her bed or up the stairs. Rating 4/5

Aisa Des Hai Mera

One of my favourites!!! Basically about how both of their des (Pakistan and India) are the same. Lata?s part at the end is simply too good. (where she goes ?aisa des hai mera, jaisa des hai tera?) first singer very nice.Well, what can I say except fabulous, nice and everything good. (This song is the reason I even bought the music cd in the first place because after watching the movie, the music kept resonating in my head that I just had to get the music)

Rating 5/5.(naturally)

Do Pal

I can just write a long review on this song alone, but why should I do that since everything I write will just point to one thing : how much this song has captivated me. The title itself ?Do Pal? (two seconds) is so symbolic. A beautiful, slow song that is a real tear jerker. Even from the first aaa?s itself, I knew that the song would be one that I will remember for a long, long time. It tells of separation between Veer and Zaara. Beautiful violin accompaniments at certain points. Spectacular https://lyrics. Very, very good lyrics especially certain verses like ’’tum the ke thi koi ujli kiran, tum the yaa koi kali muskaayee thi’’ and others. Here too Zaara has her running scenes, where she runs into Veer?s arms one last time.

Aaya Tere Dar Par

Another favourite of mine. (Almost all the tracks are favourites of mine, I know). A Qawwali, and a very good one too. Don?t quite like the beginning but when the ?aaya tere dar par deewana?part began , I began to like it. By the end of the song, I was, like, ?Hey, this is pretty good, too?. Lyrics ok. My favourite point is where Zaara says ?kaboor hai? and

Veer too says the same thing. Rating 5/5.

Hum To Bhai Jaise Hai

A song introducing Zaara and her character. A happy, happy, song sung by Lata Mangeshkar. The song is great and everything. Lata?s singing is ok but some parts I fell that her voice is too sweet! Ok lyrics as usual. Nothing spectacular. The entire song is about Zaara and it is really cool the way she is herself and doesn?t really care.

Tere Liye

Tere Liye, for you. The song is simply perfect for the movie. Veer spends 22 years for Zaara in prison and Zaara spends 22 years making Veer?s dreams comes true. They each sacrifice 22 years? The song is when they meet each other, after both are old. This song scores a point above all others because of the way they look at each other. Each sees the other?s youth and can see past the mask of age to see the Veer and Zaara each knew. Very (extremely) touching song. Do I even need to say anything about the lyrics after heaps of praise that I have showered on the song?? Rating 5/5

Lodi

The only song with Amitabh Bachan and Hema malini. They are the ones who supply the comedy and the humour and very good acting on their part. A song injected with loads of humour, happiness and festivity. Very colourful and interesting https://lyrics. Preity looks pretty. Loads of groups singing (if it is called that, since I am not sure) with the ?aha? and ?oho?. Rating 5/5

So, basically, I just LOVE, LOVE, AND LOVE this music. Hmmm, maybe I should go and listen to it for another 46 times....

Meanwhile, while I float in the music, feel free to activate your fingers and leave a comment, ok?
