Neither Maharashtrian nor Punjabi food.

This restaurant is situated at Ovla village on the Ghodbunder Road, Thane (West).

This is over hyped restaurant through advertisements about preparations managed by Vusgnuji, the chef of TV fame. They claim to offer authentic Maharashtrian and Punjabi food.

When I recently visited this place with my Maharashtrian friend, I found both the Punjabi and Maharashtrian food at its worst. Neither the lachha paneer tasted good not their Rajma. Same with Maharashtrian dishes. Khadi was too bad. Brinjal dishes were not what it has to taste. Phulkas were nothing like phulka, and rotis, nans were cold and hard.

It appears that the cook is a novice and needs to be taught what is Punjabi food and Maharashtrian food.

They charge Rs 330 per head for buffet dinner. It is not worth visiting even once.

The staff lack the expertise in handling customers. The self service system is not helpful to the aged and differently abled people who need assistance of food being brought to their table, and someone to attend them when needed. At least there should be one staff for such services.

They offer welcome drink of kokam sharbat and tomato soup. The tomato soup was too good, and as soon as we tasted it we were under impression that food will be good, but were dismayed by the taste of the dishes. Not even single dish was having authentic taste.

Seems the famous Vishnuji, who has tried to fetch customers using his name and advertising about his TV programs on food may fetch the customers just for once.

Those who know the taste of authentic Maharashtrian food and Punjabi food will never visit this the next time as there are much better restaurants near by this one.
