I was Hutch subscriber since past few years. My association with this company has been a terrible experience. Despite submitting photo identity and address proof while buying the SIM, these people disconnected my services again and again on reason that I have not submitted the documents. In fact I had submited documents to them 2 times. In Feb 2007 when I refilled the prepaid with Rs. 400, they immediately disconnected and asked for documents.
They also deducted roaming charge of Rs. 49 continuously for 2 months without me subscribing for the same. Fed up with their harassment, I have now disconnected their services, and subscribed to MTNL Dolphin. I am very happy with Dolphin as it is cheaper and their signal is available in remote villages also as they are covered by BSNL Cell One.
My suggestion to Hutch users is to immediately stop their services and subscribe to better one else some day suddenly they will be in for a surprise by sudden disconnection.
If they disconnect your services for want of submission of documents, ask them on what basis did they provide you the services till now when they did not have your documents with them. It is learnt that Hutch is purposely harassing those customers who are low value users.
One more advice. never agree to convert your pre paid to post paid with Hutch...you will have hell of a time tracing your mysterious calls that will be billed to you.
STOP DEALING WITH HUTCH AND HAVE PEACE OF MIND.
I have disconnected Hutch and switched over to Dolphin. I am not only saving money on call charges as they have lowest rates for calls and SMS, but also enjoy their presence and connectivity to remote corners in India through MTNL and BSNL Cellone network. I caN also pay my bills online. They do not change their rates and terms frequently hence, less confusion.
I am very happy with the Dolphin services. Good I dumpedHUTCH !!!!
