VSNL dial up..the best dial up ISP in India

VSNL ISP is proparbly the best Dial Up ISP in India. Mostly it is because it has a monopoly. When the ISP started in 1995..The normal TCP/IP Account (Transmission controlled protocol/Internet Protocol..in layman’s term..a graphic account) costed around Rs 15, 000 for a 100 hour account. Today it costs about Rs 750 for a 100 hour account with free timings from 11 PM to 8 AM (No time will be deduted at this time). The connection speed is very fast and you get connected instantenously. (only if you use a 56.6 Kbps modem or else you won’t enjoy surfing..and I suggest you buy it as its not too expensive). 3 years back you had to wait for a week to get the connection. Now you get the connection within the second you pay your money.

These are the charges for the TCP/IP account and the ISDN account.

I have my internet on cable so I generally don’t use the Dial Up account but for those people with very less internet usage I highly recommend the VSNL dial up account rather then any other dial up package.

All the other dial up ISP’s like Tatanova, Satyam, Mantra Online, Sify, Roltanet are too slow. They have just one number for connection. Their helpdesk is attrocious. Their connection is very very slow. I wouldnt fully blame them though as they have limited bandwidth and many users. But then everyone wants to earn money. But Whatever the case..please buy the VSNL package dial up package only. The advantages here is that you get as many as 20 numbers to dial, the help desk is excellent (highly improved from its initial days), the connection speed is excellent for a dial up ISP.

During monsoon season VSNL reduces the charges for all its accounts and I suggest that is the best time to buy it The official website for VSNL is https://vsnl.com
